IPL 2025 Finals: What happens if rain plays spoilsport in RCB vs PBKS IPL Final? Check out all scenarios

Rajat Patidar and Pat Cummins slapped fined for slow over rate

The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) will culminate with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday, June 03. Both these teams have a shot at history, but only one team will end the 18-year-long wait to lift their first trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Virat Kohli, who recently bid adieu from Tests, has a golden chance to finally lay hands on the trophy that he has longed for 18 years. With the veteran batter set to feature only in ODIs, this may be the last chance for his die-hard fans to catch him of playing cricket. However, rain could play a major spoilsport as the weather forecast in Ahmedabad is not that great, with showers expected around evening time during match hours.

Does RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 final have a reserve day?

If the RCB vs PBKS match gets abandoned without a ball being bowled, then the match will be played on Wednesday, June 04, as there is a reserve day. However, if on both days the match gets abandoned without a ball being bowled, then PBKS will be declared the winner as they finished first on the IPL 2025 Points Table with 20 points.

The good news is that with the IPL Governing Council giving an extra 120 minutes, a short rain delay won't have much of an impact. The second Qualifier between PBKS and MI started at around 9:00 PM, but there were no overs lost, as the full quota of 20 overs bowled.
