Kane Williamson, who was picked up by the Karachi Kings in the PSL 2025 draft, will be missing the home leg for the franchise. Williamson will be missing in action for the Kings from April 12 to 21.
Meanwhile, the franchise has announced replacements for Williamson and Litton Das, who was recently ruled out of the PSL 2025 with a finger injury.
To cover up for the two international cricketers, Karachi Kings have named two replacements. They have named Pakistan U19 skipper Saad Baig as a replacement for Williamson, while Australian wicket-keeper batsman Ben McDermott has been named as Litton's replacement.

Saad Baig Joins Karachi Kings As Partial Replacement For Kane Williamson
The former Kiwi skipper was a part of the IPL 2025 commentary panel for its first three weeks. The tournament started on March 22, three weeks before the PSL 2025 started on April 11. Meanwhile, there have been only four games played in the PSL 2025 season so far. Lahore Qalandars are topping the table with four points. Islamabad United is placed second, and Karachi Kings is placed third.
Apart from Kane Williamson, who is missing for the Karachi Kings, Bangladesh's Litton Das, who was signed up in the Silver Category during the PSL 2025 draft, has been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to a finger injury during a training session. McDermott will be a big addition to this PSL franchise given his ability to play big shots right from the get-go. He has shown his hunger with the bat in leagues like the Big Bash League (BBL) and The Hundred.
Karachi Kings next take on the Lahore Qalandars in match 6 of PSL 2025 on Tuesday, April 15.
