Stokes’ Dig at Jadeja: “Hundred Against Harry Brook?”
Frustrated by the delay, Ben Stokes took a dig at Jadeja on the field, saying sarcastically,
“Do you want to score a hundred against Harry Brook?”
Jadeja, smiling and composed, simply replied, “I can't do anything.” He maintained his grace, and as per the rules, India was well within their rights to keep batting. as quoted by NDTV sports
The all-rounder kept his calm and continued, with Washington Sundar backing him. In a surprising move, Ben Stokes brought on Harry Brook to bowl. Brook offered some easy deliveries, and Jadeja brought up his century with a six off his over, prompting the teams to finally shake hands and settle for a draw.

While India’s decision to play on drew some criticism, Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir backed the duo and defended their choice to turn down the early draw:
“If someone is batting on 90 and the other one is batting on 85, don’t they deserve a hundred? Would they have walked off? If someone from the England side had been batting on 90 or 85, if someone had the opportunity to get his first Test hundred, wouldn’t you allow him to do it, if they weathered the storm? It’s up to them. If they want to play that way, that’s up to them. I’ve got nothing more to say.”
